La Alianza de Hayward Youth Scholar

Meet the talented Alejandra Espinoza-Mejia, our 2019 scholar!

Alejandra is an entrepreneurship student at Mt. Eden High School in her senior year. She is also the CEO of Alejandra Fashions. Her up-cycled clothing brand will be featured and available for purchase at this years Cinco de Mayo festival. Alejandra has always dreamed of becoming an actress, which led to other creative outlets such as advanced dance, fashion design, art classes and graphic design.

We wish her well as she starts her academic journey next school year at Sonoma State University with a major in business and psychology.

Thank you!

La Alianza is your host for the 37th annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration in Downtown Hayward. Visit La Alianza Information booth to buy Cinco de Mayo T-shirts for $20, buy raffle tickets to win a beautiful pair of Diamond & Tanzanite earrings donated by Eden Jewelry and to make a donation to name a reading room in the NEW Hayward Library after the activist & labor organizer Cesar Chavez.  Every little bit helps!
